Senior Electrical Engineer (MEP Engineering)
We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be based in Connecticut or New York City and will report to the Director of Engineering. The ideal candidate will be experienced in MEP engineering and will be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
Responsibilities:
- Develop electrical designs for power, lighting, and fire alarm systems
- Review and approve electrical design drawings and calculations
- Collaborate with other engineers and architects to ensure the electrical design is coordinated with other building systems
- Attend project meetings and provide technical support
- Conduct site visits to ensure construction is proceeding according to design documents
- Mentor junior engineers
- Provide technical support to the construction team
Skills:
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong knowledge of electrical design principles
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to mentor junior engineers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- 6+ years of experience in MEP engineering
- Knowledge of building codes and standards
