Senior Engineer - Ground Improvement
Job duties:
- Provide engineering support to entire company for ground improvement (GI) techniques the company offers (deep soil mixing, jet grouting, cutter soil mixing, Drilled Displacement Piles, Rigid Inclusions)
- Review specification and geotechnical reports and conclude GI recommendations
- Provide and/or review GI Design-Build proposals
- Perform site visits to evaluate site conditions
- Work with estimating teams to develop bidding strategy
- Prepare project submittals including construction means and methods
- Present design build proposals to clients
- Establish GI quality control protocols
- Develop in-house training
Qualifications:
- Masters' degree in geotechnical engineering
- 10+ years of ground improvement experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to travel nationwide
- Meet deadlines for multiple tasks
- Professional Engineer license preferred
- Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with Geotechnical Design software and Plaxis is a definite plus.
