Job Title: Senior Field Engineer
Location: Fort Lauderdale.
Primary Responsibilities:
Advanced System Proficiency: Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of advanced system drawings, specifications, and technical manuals.
AV System Expertise: Test, commission, and operate a wide range of AV systems and equipment with a focus on excellence.
Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of AV installations aligns with consultant specifications or our standards.
Equiptment Configuration and Troubleshooting: Configure and troubleshoot AV equipment, including DSPs, media control systems (Crestron & Extron), matrix mixers, switchers, codecs, and Cisco Systems.
Programming Collaboration: Collaborate closely with our programmers to troubleshoot, debug, and test programming, with a specific emphasis on DSP programming.
Project Contribution: Play an integral role in projects from the initial estimating phase through final inspections, ensuring successful outcomes.
Leadership: Lead on-site installation teams and subcontractors to efficiently address punch list items.
Client Interaction: Interact professionally with clients, offering exceptional customer service and technical expertise.
Qualifications:
Technical Expertise: Possess a minimum of 5 years of previous employment in an engineering or technical position with an AV integration firm, with a strong background in design, installation, and programming responsibilities.
Certifications: (Desirable) Hold an Avixa certification as a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D).
Technical Certifications: Maintain current technical certifications from major AV equipment manufacturers, including Crestron (NVX, DMC-E), Extron, Biamp, QSC, Dante, and Cisco, with a particular focus on DSP programming.
Communication:
Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
Travel:
This position requires some domestic travel.
