Position Overview:
Looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer who will play a pivotal role in leading and managing geotechnical projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, extensive project management experience, and the ability to provide innovative solutions to complex geotechnical challenges.
Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Lead and manage geotechnical projects, ensuring successful execution from initial assessment through to final delivery.
Site Investigations: Plan and execute comprehensive site investigations, including soil and rock sampling, laboratory testing, and geophysical surveys.
Geotechnical Analysis: Conduct detailed geotechnical analyses, slope stability assessments, foundation design, and other relevant studies using industry-standard software and methodologies.
Risk Assessment: Identify and assess geotechnical risks associated with projects, providing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Client Interaction: Collaborate closely with clients to understand project requirements, provide technical expertise, and deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
Team Management: Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Report Preparation: Prepare clear and concise geotechnical reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all geotechnical activities adhere to relevant industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to contribute to the continuous improvement of our geotechnical services.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus in geotechnical engineering preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida required.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects.
Proficiency in geotechnical analysis softwares
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent project management skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
