Senior Manager, Interconnection
A global, leading IPP is looking to bring on a Senior Manager of Interconnection to join the team! This position will support the Transmission & Interconnection group, working on wind, solar, and battery storage projects across the US, with the ability to work fully remote and/or the option to go into any office location across the US (San Francisco, CA; San Diego, CA; Chicago, IL; Austin, TX; Houston, TX; Denver, CO, and more!)
The Senior Manager of Interconnection will be responsible for:
Managing the interconnection process from initial application through large generator interconnection agreements
Coordinating between internal and external stakeholders
Performing and reviewing power flow studies and models
Lead/guide a team of power systems/transmission planning engineers and provide guidance for junior engineers performing modeling/analysis
The Senior Manager of Interconnection should have the following qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
4-10+ years of Transmission Planning/Interconnection experience
Expertise in PSSE, TARA, PSLF, PSCAD, PowerWorld, etc.
Experience working in and managing interconnection processes in one or more ISO/RTO (ERCOT, NYISO, ISO-NE, MISO, SPP, CAISO, or WECC)
