We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Engineer to lead and contribute to their diverse projects in water and wastewater treatment, playing a key role in ensuring the efficiency and quality of their processes.

Job Summary: As a Senior Process Engineer in the water and wastewater industry, you will be responsible for the design, optimization, and management of water treatment and wastewater processes. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the effectiveness and compliance of their projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, project managers, and clients to deliver innovative solutions that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and optimization of water and wastewater treatment processes, ensuring they meet project objectives and regulatory requirements. Develop detailed process flow diagrams, mass and energy balances, and equipment specifications.
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior engineers and team members. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
Collaborate with project managers to plan and execute projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments.
Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness of treatment processes. Implement process improvements and lead pilot-scale testing when necessary.
Ensure all projects adhere to relevant environmental and safety regulations, including the Clean Water Act and local wastewater discharge permits. Coordinate with regulatory agencies as needed.
Evaluate potential risks in project processes and develop strategies to mitigate and manage these risks effectively.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including process design files, technical reports, and project status updates. Ensure all documentation is organized and accessible.
Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Act as a technical liaison and provide project updates to stakeholders.
Implement and oversee quality control processes, ensuring that all systems and processes meet or exceed industry standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
5 -10 years experience in process engineering within the water and wastewater industry.
Extensive experience in RO, filtration system, interpreting water quality data into suitable treatment processes.
Highly competent in detailed and conceptual designs of vessels, pipelines, and/or pump stations
Having a RPEQ is a plus
Proficiency in process simulation and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Aspen Plus, or equivalent), and engineering calculations
Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
