Senior Project Architect/Sr. Project Manager - Chicago Architecture+Design
A trending Architecture and Design firm is seeking talented and motivated (and licensed) architects at the Sr. Project Manager and Sr. Project Architect levels. The firm, primarily serving clients and projects in the Midwestern United States, needs an architect to be a difference-maker on both the business development side, and on all project execution phases within Commercial, Retail, Healthcare, Higher Education, and/or Multi-Family housing disciplines.
The Architect will be responsible for:
- Lead project teams in the technical and architectural design (drawings and specifications)
- Act as the conduit between studio Principals and team members including Project Managers, Architectural Designers, contractors and subcontractors, and consultants
- Act as the lead contact and resource for clients on project issues
- Develop and implement modern, unique design principles and techniques
- Manage the financial and contractual obligations of projects while meeting budgetary goals, scheduling requirements, and program objectives
- Mentor junior staff
The PM/PA should have the following qualifications and abilities:
- Bachelor or Master of Architecture
- Completed Architecture license; LEED Certification also preferred
- 8+ years as working professional in Architecture, 2+ years preferred at PM/PA level
- Computer skills required:
- Revit (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Sketchup, Affinity Suite a plus)
- Microsoft Office
- Adobe: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
- Project background ideal within Commercial, Retail, Healthcare, Higher Education, Multi-Family, and/or Workplace disciplines
- Must possess design, leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills
