My client is an internationally renowned firm that is actively seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer in their Kansas City office. This position will perform basic to high complexity calculations, modeling, data analysis, designs, on site evaluations and/or other similar evaluations for water resources projects (Examples: climate change adaptation; collection systems; CSOs; dams; drainage; economics and planning; ecosystem restoration; flood management; green infrastructure; groundwater; hydrology and hydraulics; rivers and wetlands; stormwater management; urban watersheds; water law and regulations; watershed management. Projects are local, statewide and federal. Position will require use of cutting-edge techniques and designs that will impact future projects regionally and globally.
Responsibilities include:
- Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct a number of large and important projects or a project of major scope and complexity.
- Acting independently on technical matters pertaining to your specialty field.
- Professionally present yourself as a positive face of the firm to current and potential clients.
- Support new business development activities within your areas of expertise.
- Perform as a recognized leader of technical and professional staff.
- Serve as a mentor to junior level staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or related discipline
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- Approximately 8 years of related experience
- Travel may be required and is contigent on specific duties and responsibilities
