Position Overview:
The Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager will oversee the planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, ensuring successful project execution from inception to completion. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in water and wastewater systems, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing large, complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple water/wastewater projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
- Oversee the design and construction of water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, treatment plants, and related infrastructure.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and project alignment.
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to project teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and performance metrics.
- Prepare and present project proposals, reports, and documentation for clients and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations throughout project execution.
- Foster client relationships to drive business development opportunities and secure future projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 10+ years of experience in water and wastewater project management, including design and construction.
- Strong understanding of water/wastewater systems, infrastructure, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale projects with budgets exceeding $10 million.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Experience working with local municipalities, utilities, and regulatory agencies in the Milwaukee area is a plus.
