An industry-leading total solution-provider for data center and critical business infrastructure and management, specialising in a wide range of critical power support systems, is looking for a Sales Manager.
The Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing designated industry segments and key customer accounts. The primary focus of this role is to comprehend customer needs, collaborate with internal teams and external partners to formulate strategies and proposals, and ensure the fulfillment of those customer requirements. The role also involves expanding the sales pipeline and revenue within the assigned industry segments and customer accounts, with an emphasis on maximizing potential and maintaining comprehensive sales coverage to achieve favorable results and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate should possess both commercial and technical acumen to effectively develop bid proposals and conduct technical knowledge-sharing presentations as needed. In instances where the scope is extensive, close collaboration with the Solution team is necessary to devise cost-effective turnkey solutions. The candidate is expected to independently calculate costs and generate quotations for product sales and Facility Management business.
Responsibilities:
- Primarily focus on devising sales strategies and conducting business development activities to meet or surpass the Annual Sales target.
- Provide support for technical inquiries from external sources such as end users, consultants, and partners.
- Collaborate closely with the Solution team to articulate technology and product positioning, delivering presentations, bid proposals, and clarifications to both business and technical audiences.
- Work alongside the Solution team to design solutions and provide guide specifications to support consultants, integrators, and customers.
- Respond to functional and technical aspects of RFIs/RFPs, including cost and solution analysis, to ensure the competitiveness of bid responses.
- Identify and develop opportunities within assigned industries and customer segments.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, managing customer requirements and feedback to ensure satisfaction.
- Coordinate with the Solution team and project team to ensure the timely and satisfactory delivery of projects, in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Resolve issues in alignment with the company's mission, values, and project objectives.
- Identify customer needs and sales opportunities from incoming leads, contributing to future growth through value-added engineering.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Provide bi-weekly updates on Sales CRM, sales gap analysis, and forecast reports.
Requirements:
- Hold a degree/diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the Data Centre / Engineering & Building Services Industry.
- Display self-motivation and initiative.
- Demonstrate a proven ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and vendors, supported by strong interpersonal skills.
- Exhibit a track record of meeting sales quotas.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio, and Project.
- Be capable of reading architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical blueprints, with a solid understanding of building services like electrical, fire, and mechanical systems.
- Possess knowledge of enterprise infrastructure control systems and network communications technology, including Internet, Intranet, VPN, TCP/IP, Ethernet, etc. (a plus).
