Site Manager

A prestigious fast growing solar firm with offices across 10 countries on 3 continents with Head Quarter in Tokyo, Japan is currently seeking a Site Manager to be part of an exciting new project. Over the years, the firm has grown tremendously, having overseen the planning and construction of more than 100 turnkey solar plants with output totalling to more than 250 MW. You will be part of this exciting and ambitious team, playing a critical role in the success of the project and future project to come.
Job Responsibilities of a Site Manager:
- Manage job site and administrative control
- Monitor construction progress on site and report back to the project team.
- Ensure health and safety on site.
- Supervise civil works, ramming works, mechanical assembling, electrical installation and grid connection
- Supervise performance tests
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports to the Project Manager
- Prepare draft requests for quotations
- Identify potential problems and suggest changes or corrective actions
Job Requirements of a Site Manager:
- Masters or Bachelor's degree in engineering or professional proven training/education
- Relevant 3 to 5 years (EPC) or (EPCM) Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management Experience, preferably in photovoltaic solar power plants
- Health & Safety certification or similar qualification
- Project Management Professional (PMP) ยฎ certification or similar qualification (desired but not necessary)
- General knowledge of Japanese Electrical and Civil Standards & Regulations, as well as
- International Mechanical Standards & Regulations International Mechanical Standards & Regulations
- Japanese Language Proficiency (N2 and above) needed to communicate with sub contractors.
