Job Title: Land Development Engineer (PE)
Location: Multiple Offices Across Iowa
Salary Range: $95,000 - $125,000
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Land Development Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to join our team across multiple offices in Iowa. This position will focus on designing and managing land development projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial site development.
Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Lead land development projects from concept through completion, including site layout, grading, drainage, and utility design.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with surveyors, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure cohesive project execution.
Technical Expertise:
- Design and review civil site plans for land development, including grading, erosion control, stormwater management, and utility infrastructure.
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to design effective drainage systems.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and zoning requirements.
Client and Stakeholder Relations:
- Work closely with clients, developers, and local government agencies to ensure project objectives are met.
- Attend meetings and present plans to clients, government officials, and the public.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Team Leadership:
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff.
- Ensure quality control of project deliverables and adherence to engineering standards.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Licensure:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Experience:
- 6-10+ years of experience in land development engineering.
- Strong background in site design, grading, drainage, and utility infrastructure.
Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant design software.
- Excellent knowledge of land development regulations and permitting processes.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
