I am currently working with one the leading Vertically Integrated Solar Companies in the US and even Globally! They are looking for a Senior Project Manager to carry out and oversee their Commercial Solar portfolios down the East Coast and over to Illinois. They focus on Commercial Solar projects between 1-5MW with portfolios ranging between 10-30MW. This person should have experience with ground mounts, carports, and rooftop solar projects. They are looking for somebody who will be the liaison between the site team and the internal office. Handling all of the scheduling, budgeting, bids, and estimation.
Senior Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Insuring compliance and monitoring of company safety and quality standards on your assigned projects
- Corresponding with the customer to insure client satisfactions
- You will be tasked with planning, development, design, construction and any close out processes associated with both internal and external projects
- Keeping up to date and creating the budget and schedule from inception to close out
- Assisting with Project Development from the acceptance of the project through customer contract negotiation and NTP
- Develop and review Project development estimates and risk management plan prior to finalizing the contract with the customer
- Conduct site and project due diligence for project development and identify key construction design components through site audits with design and sales team
- Create initial budget and scope and sign off/buy in from design and procurement teams
- Manage all of the staffing for the site and any other operational needs
- Manage and update schedule and cost life-cycle through close out
- Conduct client kick off meeting
- Conduct regular risk analysis and cost forecasting and creating weekly reports on project status
- Identify and initiate customer change orders, if it falls within contract guidelines
- Use prior experience to lower construction costs where applicable
- Manage in house subcontracted design teams
- Oversee the work of one or more Construction Managers
- Responsible for procurement plan and execution which includes bid, solicitation, receipt and analysis
- Serves as primary point of contact for customer, permitting agencies, and other project consultants
Senior Project Manager Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years design build experience in Project Management
- Strong Technical, supervisory and project management skills
- Strong understanding of Electrical codes and construction codes
- Prior experience with procurement, construction monitoring, and subcontracted construction functions
