Role Overview: As a Senior Environmental Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading and executing environmental projects that make a positive impact on our planet. Your expertise in environmental engineering combined with your project management skills will be crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of projects from inception to completion. You'll collaborate with a diverse team of professionals to design, implement, and monitor projects that address a wide range of environmental challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of environmental projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company objectives.
- Conduct thorough site assessments and environmental impact assessments to inform project decisions.
- Develop innovative solutions to complex environmental issues, considering factors such as sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and long-term impact.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and team members to foster professional growth and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including scientists, researchers, regulatory experts, and external partners.
Qualifications:
- BS in Geology, Environmental Science, or Chemical/Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field (MS is a plus)
- Professional license (P.E. or P.G.), or the ability to acquire within 1 year
- Proven experience (6+ years) in environmental engineering, with a focus on project management.
- Strong project management skills, including a track record of successfully managing several projects from initiation to completion.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting processes, and compliance standards.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with stakeholders and team members.
- Proficiency with the characterization of soil and groundwater at RCRA, CERCLA, and Brownfield sites.
