Position Overview:
They are seeking a talented project manager with a focus on building structural engineering to work on new building and building renovation projects in the Building Science Group. This role is ideal for a structural engineer that enjoys working with clients on building expansions, repairs, renovations, and stand-alone buildings but predominantly existing buildings.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients and potential clients to discuss projects
- Actively participate in team meetings to work effectively with team members
- Apply industry standard practices to complete work on-time
- Develop person-hour estimates and proposals
- Manage scope, schedule, and budgets on multiple projects
- Collaborate with project engineers, peers, and managers to develop designs
- Develop bid and construction documents
- Develop construction cost estimates
- Review construction bids to recommend awards and perform construction administration
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in civil engineering or architectural engineering
- Master's a plus
- 5-10 years of experience working with both governmental and private clients in Missouri and Illinois
- Experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete, and/or masonry design
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of structural engineering software - RAM, RISA, Revit
- Working knowledge of building codes - IBC, ASCE, ACI, and AISC
- PE license
- SE license a plus
