This position is responsible for management of the AV, ICT, and physical/electronic security consulting resources in a Denver MEP office, and the identification and securing of new clients and ensuring consistent flow of work to the region. This resource determines business strategy along under supervision of the CEO and creates the infrastructure necessary for profitability and long-term success. This role includes managing people and resources and providing technical and logistical leadership from sales to final project closeout. This resource represents the firm impeccably in all areas from marketing to proposal and presentation development through project delivery.
This position requires 5 plus years of experience in overseeing multi-disciplinary design team (Acoustical, audiovisual, information communication technology, and physical/electronic security systems) project delivery in the built environment, including business development, design oversight, quality assurance, client satisfaction, and project/department financial performance. Experience must include expertise in large projects including corporate, educational, hospitality, healthcare and cultural/civic sectors. Management skills are important, as is working with architect/engineer design team on projects from visioning/technology strategy through programming/conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, construction administration, and closeout phases on new construction and retrofit/renovation projects.
Business Development:
- Uncover business opportunities and develop new work
- Develop marketing and sales plans and market the firm's capabilities
- Deliver client presentations
- Maintain client relationships and foster repeat business
- Evaluate RFPs, develop/approve proposals including approach/strategy and pricing
Project Delivery:
- Maintain overall responsibilities for all project deliverables
- Attend client meetings
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring
- Determine technical and professional standards with technology partner, and ensure they are met and followed in all work delivered by the office
- Approve outgoing work as needed
- Manage client and project politics
- Determine, submit, approve additional services fee requests
Management/Administration:
- Review and maintain project profitability goals
- Determine/approve project fees and costs, oversee office billings, ensure revenue targets are met
- Determine/oversee staff performance reviews and development plans, maintain responsibility for team productivity and morale
- Determine staffing requirements and review with leadership, interview and approve additions to staff
- Resolve employment issues to support positive work climate and minimize legal risk
- Overall responsibility for office accounts receivable, supervising project managers and contacting clients on outstanding invoices
