Transmission Engineering Manager
Location: Charlotte, NC
Position Overview: As a Transmission Line Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing a team of skilled engineers and technical professionals to ensure the successful completion of transmission line projects, while adhering to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of transmission line engineers and technical staff.
- Plan, design, and oversee the construction of transmission line projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new transmission line projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, environmental experts, and regulatory specialists.
- Develop and implement engineering standards and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Evaluate and select appropriate materials, equipment, and technologies for transmission line projects.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during project execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in transmission line engineering, with 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of transmission line design, construction, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in PLS-CADD
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standard
