Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the transportation practice, overseeing a team of transportation experts and professionals.
- Develop and execute the practice's strategic vision, business development plans, and growth strategies.
- Act as a subject matter expert in transportation, staying up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Drive business development efforts, including identifying and pursuing new client opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and participating in industry conferences and events.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality transportation projects, ensuring client satisfaction and project success.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance in transportation planning, engineering, and design, contributing to the successful delivery of projects.
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in the transportation industry, with a strong background in transportation planning, engineering, or design.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing transportation projects and teams.
- Demonstrated business development skills, with a successful history of identifying and pursuing new client opportunities.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, policies, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Professional licensure (PE) is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working with public agencies and private clients is preferred.
- Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and project assignments.
