Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Direct the technical analysis, solution design and implementation of complex software, hardware, and transmission systems.
- Act as companies in-house expert regarding AV/UC in the area of Microsoft integration (e.g. tenant, Azure, Office 365, etc.).
- Where necessary, liaise with equipment vendors during installations, acquisition negotiations, and hardware/software performance issues.
- Monitor and identify capacity and performance issues for AV/UC traffic to recommend and ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of AV/UC systems.
- Assist in developing, implementing, recommending, and maintaining policies, procedures, and training plans for AV/UC system's appropriate use.
- Recognize and recommends technological improvements assessing financial impact.
- Coordinate technical and financial reviews with Purchasing and Proposals departments to ensure understanding and proper application of AV/UC pricing.
- Keep abreast of state-of-the-art AV/UC equipment and make recommendations as appropriate.
- Manages technology assessment and recommends selection of AV/UC products and services.
- Manages the support of development of AV/UC project plans for the implementation of client installations.
- Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team.
- Design and support AV/UC infrastructure and its associated software, hardware, including PBXs, and conferencing systems
- Act as subject matter expert in the configuration, installation and support of AV/UC software platforms (e.g. Zoom, Conference Room Connector, MS Teams, Skype, Flex, Crestron, Trio, BlueJeans, Google Hangouts, Polycom, Cisco Cloud)

Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, business management information systems, or closely related field and 5 years of information technology experience in the design, troubleshooting, and administration of network systems; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of hands on Unified Communications (UC) experience in an enterprise environment.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in the planning, deployment and support of Microsoft Cloud Services (Office 365, Azure, etc).
- In-depth knowledge and experience working with Microsoft tenant configurations in order to properly integrate components with AV/UC systems (e.g. address books, calendaring, etc).
- Microsoft competency training in Collaboration & Content, Messaging, Communications, and/or Enterprise Mobility Management.
- Experience with enterprise and cloud-based IT infrastructure (AD, DC, TCP/IP and routing, etc.).
- Experience enterprise VoIP telephones systems (e.g. Cisco, Avaya, IBM)
- Experience in designing and installing traditional legacy telephone systems
- Experience with SIP trunking
- Experience with the any/all of the following applications is a plus:
