Vice President, Solar & Energy Storage Engineering
A National Clean Energy company is looking for a passionate candidate to lead their Solar and Energy Storage teams. The VP will be responsible for supporting design and deployment of Distributed Generation and Utility Scale projects. With technical expertise, innovative ideas, and collaboration with internal stakeholders and the engineering team, the VP will set strategic and operational objectives of engineering to support organizational goals and create industry best-in-class PV and storage designs.
Responsibilities
- Sets strategic and operational goals for the Design, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and SCADA that are nested within and support Clean Energy Deployment's (CED's) national strategy
- Provide direction and mentorship to the Engineering team to support DG and Utility Scale commercial solar and storage projects efficiently and cost effectively
- Responsible for all Engineering comp and non-comp budgeting; drives organizational structure and is responsible for coordinating talent acquisition and business unit personnel development to support Engineering objectives and CED strategy
- Collaborate with Business Development/Channel, CED Operations, Grid Integration, and Deployment to facilitate solar construction nationwide
- Assist SVP, Clean Energy Deployment in leading innovation teams by providing priorities of work, feedback on initiatives, and establishing new focus areas to drive continuous improvement
Qualifications
- 5+ years cross-functional project leadership
- 5+ years leading people and teams
- Strategic planning and implementation
- Certified or experienced in Quality or Process Excellence methodologies
- DG and/or Utility scale PV operational experience preferred
- PE License preferred
