One of our top national clients is looking for a Wastewater project Manager to join their growing Los Angeles team. Their growing backlog of wastewater engineering and design work creates an opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects that contribute to the development of solutions addressing California water issues. The successful candidate will be a motivated, growth oriented professional with the ability to manage multidisciplinary project to deliver treatment plant design documents. You will have staff to mentor and clients to support. Not only will you have engineers to support you locally in their Southern California offices but the national Wastewater Process team will help you deliver the highest quality product.
Use your skills and expertise to manage multi-disciplined project teams from planning through conceptual and final design, construction, and operation for treatment and collection system projects. Responsibilities:
- Manage project teams to develop process design basis, process flow diagrams, P&IDs, mass and energy balances, process data sheets, and recommendations for wastewater treatment plant/process upgrades.
- Develop design calculations for selected processes, especially biological treatment processes.
- Prepare engineering reports, technical memoranda, and specifications.
- Interface with engineering disciplines, subconsultants, and other offices to develop and deliver design documents for wastewater treatment plant improvements.
- Coordination and leadership of project team members and task leaders for on-budget/on-schedule project execution.
- Work with a project team to develop preliminary designs for design/build proposals.
- Provide technical support to sales for treatment plants and process improvements.
- Willingness to serve as a resource and mentor to less experienced staff members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or closely related area, required. Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in wastewater treatment planning, evaluation, and design
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- California P.E.
- Working knowledge of the state and federal regulations governing the treatment, disposal, and recycling of wastewater.
