Are you an experienced environmental professional ready to lead impactful infrastructure projects? A well-established consultancy is seeking an Environmental Manager to join their team in one of their Indiana office locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of environmental studies, wetland delineations, and permitting (NEPA, CEs, EAs, 401/404, Rule 5, Section 106, etc.).
- Manage interdisciplinary teams conducting fieldwork such as erosion control monitoring, endangered species surveys, and stream assessments.
- Oversee environmental documentation and permit applications for infrastructure clients across public and private sectors.
- Mentor junior staff and support their technical and professional growth.
- Prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules; manage project financials and client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal protocols.
- Represent the team in client meetings, regulatory consultations, and industry events.
Qualifications:
- 14+ years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or a similar discipline.
- Strong understanding of Indiana environmental regulations and permitting processes.
- Proven leadership in project and team management.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- Familiarity with state-level environmental documentation and performance evaluation criteria.
- Ability to obtain NEPA and Section 106/FHWA training within 6 months (if not already completed).
