About the Role
We are seeking a licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to lead and manage surveying projects from start to finish. This role involves overseeing field crews, ensuring accuracy in boundary and construction staking surveys, and maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and perform land surveying tasks including boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys.
- Oversee and mentor field crews, ensuring quality and efficiency in all operations.
- Prepare and review survey calculations, plats, and legal descriptions.
- Maintain strong client communication and provide technical guidance throughout projects.
- Ensure compliance with state and local regulations, as well as company standards.
- Utilize modern surveying technology and software for data collection and processing.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all projects.
Qualifications
- Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Utah.
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in land surveying, including construction staking.
- Proficiency with survey instruments (GPS, total stations) and software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Strong understanding of survey principles, legal descriptions, and mapping standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
