Civil Site Project Engineer - Cleveland

Role Summary
The Civil Site Project Engineer will play a key role in the planning, design, and execution of site development projects. Working closely with project managers and multidisciplinary teams, the engineer will be responsible for producing high-quality design solutions for a range of commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments. This role offers a clear pathway to leadership opportunities, including project management and client-facing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technical staff to develop site design solutions that meet client objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Lead or support the preparation of design documents including site layouts, grading plans, drainage systems, and utility infrastructure
  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to support stormwater management and flood mitigation strategies
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of permit applications and coordinate with regulatory agencies to ensure timely approvals
  • Participate in internal design reviews and quality control processes to maintain high standards of deliverables
  • Contribute to project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support business development efforts through technical input and client engagement
  • Stay current with industry standards, codes, and best practices in civil/site development

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in site development engineering
  • Proven experience in designing site layouts, grading and drainage systems, and navigating permitting processes for development projects
  • Strong background in road and utility design, including water, sewer, and stormwater systems
  • Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools and methodologies
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure within 6-12 months
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of an organization
