Heavy Civil Project Engineer
Location: Enumclaw, WA
Salary: $85,000- $115,000 + Bonus(s)
A well respected general contractor in Enumclaw, WA is currently looking for a Heavy Civil Project Engineer for infrastructure projects in the area. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to join a team known for delivering high-quality public/ private works and civil construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate technical execution of heavy civil construction projects including roadways, utilities, and site development.
- Support pre-construction planning, including RFIs, submittals, scheduling, budgeting, and quantity tracking.
- Collaborate with field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met.
- Conduct site inspections and oversee quality control documentation.
- Maintain accurate project records including daily logs, certifications, and correspondence.
- Assist the Project Manager with subcontractor coordination and site oversight.
- Monitor job costs and support financial tracking and reporting.
Experience Required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in heavy civil construction, preferably in public works or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with project management and estimating software (e.g., HeavyJob, HeavyBid), and CPM scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera).
- Experience with local permitting and regulatory processes.
- Strong understanding of earthwork, utilities, and site/civil construction practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in construction and engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, scheduling platforms).
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and site safety protocols.
