The Role
We are seeking a Senior Agri-Business Consultant to join our team in Tasmania. This is a pivotal role for an experienced professional passionate about sustainable land management and carbon forestry. You will work closely with landowners, institutional clients, and internal teams to develop and implement strategies that optimize agricultural and forestry assets for profitability and environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on agri-business strategies, carbon forestry, and plantation management.
- Engage with landowners to design tailored solutions that integrate farming and forestry.
- Lead feasibility studies, financial modeling, and risk assessments for new projects.
- Support carbon project origination and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including farmers, investors, and government agencies.
- Contribute to sustainability and biodiversity initiatives.
About You
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in agri-business consulting, forestry, or natural resource management.
- Qualifications: Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Forestry, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Strong understanding of carbon markets, sustainability practices, and rural economics.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
