Location: Irvine, California
Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000 per year
About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Environmental Project Manager to lead complex environmental consulting projects focused on site investigation and remediation. This position requires a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting and technical project management, capable of delivering exceptional results on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Manage environmental projects involving subsurface contamination, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Site Assessments: Oversee and conduct Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments, including field work, sampling, and data collection.
- Remediation Planning: Perform feasibility testing and develop Remedial Action Plans for contaminated sites.
- Data Analysis: Interpret laboratory and investigation-related data to inform project decisions.
- Regulatory Coordination: Engage with agencies such as:
- U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
- California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC)
- Regional Water Quality Control Boards
- Local Certified Unified Program Agencies (CUPAs)
- Reporting: Prepare and review technical reports to meet EEC's quality standards.
- Compliance: Conduct environmental due diligence and compliance assessments at industrial and commercial facilities; implement corrective actions as needed.
- Waste Management: Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste in compliance with regulations.
- Client Support: Provide regulatory guidance and assist clients in maintaining compliance.
- Safety & Quality: Promote safe work practices while maintaining project quality and timelines in high-pressure environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting and project management.
- Strong technical expertise in site investigation, remediation, and risk assessment.
- Experience with Human Health Risk Assessment (preferred).
- Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
