Senior Natural Resources & Compliance Manager
Overview:
We're looking for a highly experienced environmental leader to oversee siting and permitting efforts for electric transmission projects. This role combines strategic oversight, technical leadership, and team development, with a strong focus on regulatory coordination and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead site selection studies and prepare documentation for regulatory review.
- Oversee environmental investigations and produce permit applications and technical reports.
- Manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and deliverables across multiple initiatives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and regulatory agencies.
- Direct fieldwork including wetland delineations, species surveys, inspections, and compliance monitoring.
- Drive business development efforts and contribute to proposal writing and cost estimation.
- Supervise and mentor technical staff, fostering growth and collaboration.
- Promote safety and ensure adherence to environmental protocols.
- Travel as needed to project sites, meetings, and client engagements (approx. 10-20%).
What You Bring:
- At least 18 years of experience in environmental consulting, permitting, or related fields.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Earth Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing teams and complex projects.
- Expertise in environmental regulations and permitting processes.
- Excellent writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
- Valid driver's license.
Leadership & Management:
- Translate strategic goals into actionable plans for teams and departments.
- Guide junior staff in task management, budgeting, and technical execution.
- Support recruitment, retention, and professional development of team members.
- Monitor performance, allocate resources, and ensure alignment with organizational standards.

Communication & Collaboration:
- Lead meetings and presentations with clients, agencies, and internal stakeholders.
