The Role: Structural Engineer

This role is ideal for a hands-on, communicative Structural Engineer who can operate across all phases of industrial EPC projects. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients while designing and evaluating structures that must withstand operational loads and environmental conditions.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing structures that withstand industrial stresses, loads, and environmental forces
  • Configuring building and equipment support structures and selecting appropriate materials
  • Preparing engineering reports, design criteria, cost estimates, and technical drawings
  • Completing structural calculations related to pressures, loads, and stresses
  • Providing technical guidance on safe design and construction practices
  • Securing planning and building regulation approvals
  • Coordinating with clients, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders
  • Monitoring contractor work to ensure structural integrity and compliance
  • Managing small subcontracts and structural project components
  • Assessing geotechnical conditions to support foundation design
  • Inspecting construction work to verify structural soundness
  • Using CAD and simulation tools for modelling and analysis (such as STAAD, AutoCAD, Revit)

Ideal Background

The successful candidate will bring strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and an entrepreneurial approach to improving client value. They must be comfortable managing multiple projects and interacting directly with clients in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • 3+ years of structural engineering experience
  • Industrial project experience (light to heavy industrial)
  • Proficiency with STAAD, AutoCAD, and Revit
  • Experience with steel, concrete, and masonry
  • Exposure to rotating equipment and vibration analysis
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and industry regulations
  • Confident communicator with strong client-facing ability
