Bridge Design Technician

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of civil or structural plan production and be comfortable managing assigned tasks with limited supervision. Responsibilities

• Prepare, revise, and organize technical drawings, plan sheets, and supporting project documentation
• Develop layouts, details, and design packages based on preliminary concepts and project information
• Update drawings and files to reflect design changes, internal comments, and ongoing project developments
• Review completed work for accuracy, consistency, completeness, and alignment with established standards
• Assist with calculations, measurements, quantity development, and other technical project needs
• Coordinate design information with engineers, project managers, and additional technical team members
• Manage assigned responsibilities while helping the team meet established schedules and project milestones
• Identify potential drawing conflicts or missing information and communicate questions to the appropriate team members
• Maintain organized project files and follow internal procedures for document control and quality assurance

Qualifications

• 5 to 7years of experience in civil, structural, transportation, bridge, or related infrastructure design
• Familiarity with computer-aided drafting, design, or modeling software used within the engineering industry
• Ability to interpret technical sketches, project notes, engineering comments, and drawing markups
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and well-organized work
• Ability to prioritize assignments, manage deadlines, and work effectively with limited day-to-day supervision
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative project team
• Relevant technical education, professional training, or comparable hands-on industry experience
