Salary: $120,000- $180,000 + Bonus(s)
Overview:
A respected general contractor in the Pacific Northwest, is seeking an experienced Civil Pipe Superintendent to lead underground utility and piping operations on civil construction projects in the Portland area. This is a leadership role focused on field execution, crew coordination, and quality control.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of underground utility and piping installations.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
- Maintain detailed project documentation and daily reports.
- Resolve field issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in civil construction, specifically with underground utilities and piping.
- Prior experience as a Superintendent or Foreman on large-scale civil projects.
- Strong background in storm, sewer, and water system installations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage crews and subcontractors effectively.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Construction Management or related field is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and blueprints.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with construction management software is advantageous.
