Location: Akron, Ohio

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and driven Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee a variety of construction projects in the Akron, Ohio area. This role is responsible for managing projects from planning through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal team members
  • Oversee project planning, design coordination, and construction execution
  • Review plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure project compliance
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address risks, delays, and field issues
  • Coordinate with construction inspectors, engineers, and subcontractors
  • Prepare and maintain project budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates to stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards
  • Review and approve contractor pay applications and change orders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management (site development, transportation, or municipal infrastructure preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and project delivery methods
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, and client relationships
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with project management and scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
  • Valid driver's license and ability to visit project sites as needed

Preferred Certifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
