Location: Atlanta, Georgia
A full-time opportunity is available for a CAD Technician to support the environmental and civil engineering projects in the Atlanta area. This role involves working on a diverse portfolio of assignments, including solid waste systems, environmental compliance and permitting, remediation, and water and wastewater systems.
Role Overview
The CAD Technician will contribute to projects involving solid waste management, stormwater systems, environmental permitting, remediation, and water/wastewater systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft civil engineering plans and topographic surveys using AutoCAD
- Assist engineers with permitting processes
- Contact local municipalities to gather utility atlas information
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
- Maintain organized workflows to meet project deadlines
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil drafting software
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage project documentation with minimal supervision
Education & Experience
- High school diploma with relevant civil design experience, or equivalent education/training
- Minimum 2 years of drafting experience using AutoCAD or similar software
- Field surveying or inspection experience is a plus
