The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a seasoned Architect to join their Denver team with a focus on K-12 educational projects. This role offers the opportunity to lead design and technical efforts on meaningful projects that shape the future of learning environments. The right candidate is a strong communicator, detail-oriented, and capable of managing work across design and construction phases.
Sector Focus: K-12 Educational Design
Our client's education work is grounded in research, pedagogy, and partnership with educators. Their school designs are responsive to evolving learning models and are tailored to support student success, community engagement, and long-term functionality.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the integration of design intent and building performance goals across all project phases.
Support the development of design strategies and translate concepts into detailed architectural documentation.
Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure coordination, quality, and consistency.
Produce construction drawings and specifications in line with project scope, budget, and timeline.
Participate in design reviews, site visits, and construction administration processes (RFIs, submittals, change orders).
Present ideas effectively to clients and stakeholders and support relationship-building throughout the project lifecycle.
Stay informed on trends in sustainable design, codes, and new building technologies.
Qualifications
5-10 years of professional experience in architecture.
Licensed Architect (required).
Strong portfolio with relevant work in educational (k-12) architecture (preferred).
Proven experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
Proficiency in Revit and other design tools.
Thorough understanding of building codes and standards.
LEED and/or WELL Building certification is advantageous.
Excellent design, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
