Electrical Engineering Leadership
- Serve as the electrical lead on industrial EPCM and design bid build projects, accountable for technical scope, schedule, budget awareness, quality, and safety.
- Develop and review electrical deliverables including single line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, I O lists, cable schedules, load lists, and panel layouts.
- Perform and stamp power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, load flow, and motor starting analyses.
- Design medium and low voltage power distribution systems including switchgear, transformers, MCCs, VFDs, grounding, lighting, and lightning protection.
- Lead controls and instrumentation design efforts including PLC and SCADA architecture, I O allocation, control narratives, and network design, coordinating with UL 508A panel fabrication teams as needed.
- Produce calculations, specifications, data sheets, procurement packages, and IFC construction drawings. Support RFIs, submittal reviews, and field changes.
- Mentor junior engineers and designers and ensure strong QA QC across all electrical deliverables.
Field and Client Interface
- Support site assessments, constructability reviews, installation oversight, and commissioning activities including functional testing and system energization.
- Act as a technical advisor to clients across industrial markets, translating operational needs into practical electrical designs.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Active U.S. Professional Engineer license in Electrical, or ability to obtain Utah comity within six months.
- Eight plus years of electrical engineering experience supporting industrial facilities, including design and field execution.
- Strong background in MV and LV power distribution, motor control, variable frequency drives, and protective relaying.
- Proficiency with power system analysis software such as SKM or ETAP.
- Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, ISA, NESC, and utility interconnection requirements.
- Demonstrated client facing communication and cross discipline coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in mining and minerals processing, petrochemical or refining, food processing, or power generation and distribution.
- Commissioning and startup leadership experience with a focus on reliability, selective coordination, and arc flash mitigation.
- Exposure to integrating renewables or CHP systems with industrial power infrastructure
