Overview
I am working with an established, employee-owned engineering consultancy looking to add a Structural Project Engineer to its growing St. Paul team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who wants exposure to a varied portfolio of building projects and the chance to work with steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and wood. The firm is open regarding sector background and will consider candidates from commercial, industrial, institutional, healthcare, residential, educational, or other building-focused environments.

The Opportunity
You will be involved in structural projects from initial design through construction, with increasing responsibility for technical delivery, project coordination, and client communication.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Structural analysis and design using steel, concrete, masonry, and wood
- Preparing calculations, drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Coordinating with architects, contractors, clients, and other engineering disciplines
- Reviewing shop drawings, submittals, and requests for information
- Conducting site visits and construction observations when required
- Supporting project schedules, budgets, and client expectations
- Providing guidance to junior engineers and technical staff
What They're Looking For
- Approximately 5-10 years of structural engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering
- EIT certification required, with PE or SE licensure preferred
- Experience designing building structures with multiple materials
- Working knowledge of relevant building codes and design standards
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary project teams
- AutoCAD experience, with Revit proficiency beneficial
