About the Opportunity
A nationally recognized engineering and consulting firm specializing in mission-critical infrastructure is seeking a Market Leader to drive growth within its Data Center practice. This role combines business development, technical consulting, strategic planning, and industry leadership, offering the opportunity to shape some of the most complex and high-profile data center projects in the market.
The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping define data center strategies, guide technical decision-making, and lead multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, and implementation phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and cultivate long-term relationships with enterprise, hyperscale, colocation, service provider, and investment-sector clients.
- Lead customer engagements focused on data center assessment, strategy development, infrastructure planning, and technical design.
- Translate business objectives into scalable, resilient mission-critical infrastructure solutions.
- Prepare technical proposals, project estimates, and client presentations.
- Provide leadership to engineering, design, and project management teams throughout project delivery.
- Coordinate with engineering partners, consultants, and contractors to support successful project execution.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing service offerings and develop new solutions aligned with industry needs.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, professional associations, and networking events.
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives through presentations, articles, and industry engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture, Business, or a related field; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
- 10+ years of experience in mission-critical, data center, engineering consulting, or project leadership environments.
- Deep understanding of mission-critical infrastructure systems and data center design considerations.
- Proven experience leading complex technical projects and collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong track record of developing client relationships and delivering value across customer organizations.
- Experience working in remote or distributed team environments.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other business technologies.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and industry engagement.
