Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 (DOE)
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Project Environmental Engineer to support and execute environmental site investigation and remediation projects throughout Southern California. This role is well suited for an engineer with 3+ years of experience who is ready to step into a field and task leadership role while working closely with senior technical professionals on complex remediation projects.
You will serve as a key contributor to project execution: overseeing field activities, supporting regulatory interactions, mentoring junior staff, and preparing technical deliverables while reporting directly to a Senior Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as field and task lead on environmental investigation and remediation projects
- Oversee, mentor, and coordinate junior engineers and field staff
- Plan and execute environmental site investigations, including soil, groundwater, vapor intrusion, and remedial system activities
- Prepare technical reports, work plans, and regulatory submittals
- Coordinate subcontractors and support remedial system construction, operations, and maintenance
- Collaborate with project managers and senior technical staff to maintain quality, schedule, and budget
- Support agency coordination and ensure regulatory compliance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of environmental consulting experience
- Environmental remediation experience is required
- Prior experience acting as a task or field lead on active sites
- Strong technical writing, organization, and communication skills
- Familiarity with California environmental regulations preferred
