Senior Architect / Project Manager

Location: Raleigh, NC
An established and respected architecture and design firm is seeking a Senior Architect / Project Manager to join its growing team serving local government and higher education clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed architect who enjoys leading complex projects, managing client relationships, and mentoring project teams from concept through construction.

About the Role

We are looking for a Licensed Architect with approximately 15 to 25 years of professional experience and a proven track record of successfully delivering architectural projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, technical, and project management skills and be comfortable overseeing all phases of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage significant architectural projects from planning through completion
  • Collaborate with internal design teams and external consultants
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and maintain project schedules
  • Oversee production of construction documents and technical drawings
  • Ensure quality control standards are maintained throughout project delivery
  • Manage project budgets, staffing allocations, and labor hours
  • Support team development through leadership and mentorship

Qualifications

  • Licensed Architect required
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
  • 15-25 years of architectural experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects through all phases of design and construction
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Experience working on municipal, civic, educational, or institutional projects is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in:
    • Revit
    • Bluebeam
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft Outlook
