Our client is a nationally recognized engineering, environmental, and consulting firm is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its growing Cleveland office. This is an excellent opportunity for a civil engineering professional who enjoys leading land development projects, mentoring teams, and helping shape the growth of a rapidly expanding practice across Ohio.
The office has established a strong presence in the region and continues to invest heavily in its long-term growth strategy. With approximately 30+ professionals across civil engineering, environmental, transportation, geotechnical, and surveying disciplines, the successful candidate will join a collaborative environment that offers both local decision-making authority and the resources of a larger national organization.
Position Overview
As a Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of private land development projects while serving as a key technical leader within the office. The role offers the opportunity to manage client relationships, oversee project delivery, mentor engineering staff, and contribute to the continued expansion of the business throughout Northeast Ohio.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing technical excellence, project leadership, and client-facing responsibilities while working alongside a team of highly respected industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage private land development projects from planning through construction.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate with internal technical specialists.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, quality control, and client expectations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, municipalities, and development stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and support the professional development of team members.
- Review engineering plans, reports, calculations, and permitting documents.
- Support business development efforts and identify opportunities for continued growth.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives focused on expanding the firm's presence across Ohio.

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 10+ years of civil engineering experience.
- Strong background in private land development projects.
- Proficiency of AutoCAD or Civil 3D preferred.
- Proven project management experience, including budget and schedule responsibility.
- Knowledge of local regulations, permitting processes, and development standards within the Cleveland market.
- Strong communication and client management skills.

- Experience mentoring engineering teams.
- Existing relationships within the Ohio development community.
- Business development or client relationship management experience.
- Experience leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $100,000 to $150,000
