Role Overview

The Structural Designer will support multi-disciplinary engineering projects, contributing to concept development, detailed design, 3D modeling, equipment layout, structural steel modeling, foundation design support, and construction drawing packages. Key Responsibilities

• Develop 2D and 3D structural designs and models for industrial facilities, including steel structures, platforms, foundations, and equipment supports.
• Support senior engineers in preparing structural plans, sections, details, and material take-offs.
• Produce construction-ready drawing packages in alignment with internal quality standards and industry codes.
• Assist with structural steel assessments, code compliance documentation, and integration with process, mechanical, electrical, and architectural disciplines. [jedson.com]
• Coordinate with vendors for equipment data integration and specification support.
• Participate in design reviews, constructability assessments, and field verification activities.
• Collaborate with project managers and discipline leads to ensure deliverables meet scope, schedule, and safety requirements.

Education & Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting & Design, or related field.
• 3-10 years of experience in structural design for industrial or manufacturing facilities (EPCM experience preferred).
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools (experience with industrial platforms strongly preferred).
• Understanding of applicable structural codes, standards, and industrial work environments.
• Strong communication and cross‑functional coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments in a fast-paced project setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with heavy industrial markets such as building products, roofing, metals, composites, gypsum, cement, minerals, or similar sectors. [jedson.com]
