Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee transportation engineering projects from planning through design and construction.
- Lead the preparation of roadway and Complete Streets design plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Coordinate corridor, intersection, downtown, and multimodal transportation improvement projects.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and overall project performance.
- Prepare scopes, fee proposals, and contracts.
- Build and maintain relationships with municipalities, state agencies, and other clients.
- Present project information to clients, stakeholders, and the public.
- Mentor and supervise junior engineering staff while managing team workloads and development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 8+ years of transportation engineering experience, including roadway design and project management.
- Experience working with DOT agencies such as MassDOT, RIDOT, NHDOT, or similar state transportation agencies.
- Strong understanding of transportation design standards and project delivery processes.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
