Water Conveyance Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the planning and design of water andwastewater infrastructure, including:
- Collection and conveyance systems
- Distribution and transmission mains
- Pump stations, wells, and storage tanks
- Water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Civil grading, drainage, and rehabilitation of existing systems
- Prepare construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and detailed engineering reports.
- Ensure adherence to standard engineering practices and proper documentation across design projects.
- Evaluate design alternatives, resolve technical issues, and collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
- Perform design calculations and interpret specifications and drawings, recommending modifications as needed.
- Coordinate and complete work as part of a multidisciplinary design team.
- Provide construction support services, including review of submittals, responses to RFIs, and evaluation of change orders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design, including treatment and conveyance systems.
- Experience working with municipal, state, or regional water agencies is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel periodically
