Compensation: $80,000 - $120,000 DOE (Approximately $40+/hr DOE)

A growing heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead crews on a variety of infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong background in earthwork, utilities, and transportation construction who wants to join a company with a steady pipeline of work and opportunities for advancement.
Position Overview
The Foreman will oversee daily field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification. Projects may include roadway improvements, site development, utility installation, excavation, grading, and other heavy civil infrastructure work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise crews performing earthwork, excavation, grading, and utility installation
- Coordinate daily production activities, manpower, equipment, and materials
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, and grade stakes
- Work closely with Superintendents and Project Managers to meet project schedules
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, quality standards, and project requirements
- Track production and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
- Train, mentor, and develop field personnel
- Coordinate subcontractors and support project planning efforts
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Foreman in heavy civil construction
- Strong background in some combination of:
- Earthwork and mass grading
- Excavation and site development
- Underground utilities (water, sewer, storm)
- DOT, roadway, and transportation projects
- Ability to manage crews and maintain production goals
- Experience operating in a fast-paced field environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
