An established and growing mechanical contractor is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead large-scale commercial and industrial mechanical projects across the Houston market. This is an opportunity to join a well-respected contractor with a strong project backlog, excellent leadership team, and a reputation for delivering complex HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems throughout Texas.
This role is ideal for a field leader who thrives on managing large crews, driving schedules, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring projects are executed safely and efficiently from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Lead all field operations on major mechanical construction projects.
- Manage and coordinate mechanical foremen, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
- Drive project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved.
- Oversee installation of HVAC, piping, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct daily site walks and proactively identify challenges before they impact project delivery.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and client standards.
- Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Owners, General Contractors, and design teams.
- Monitor manpower planning, productivity, and labor forecasting.
- Enforce quality control standards and oversee project commissioning activities.
- Mentor and develop field supervisors and future leaders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of mechanical construction experience.
- Proven experience serving as Superintendent or Senior Superintendent on commercial, healthcare, industrial, mission-critical, manufacturing, or large-scale institutional projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to manage projects ranging from $10M-$100M+ in mechanical scope.
- Experience coordinating large field labor forces and multiple trades.
- Strong scheduling, planning, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
- Proficiency with construction management technology and reporting tools.
