Professional Land Surveyor
A growing and collaborative engineering and surveying firm is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join their Illinois team. About the Role
As a Professional Land Surveyor, you'll play a key role in supporting a wide range of survey tasks across various project types. You'll work closely with leadership, design teams, and clients to ensure high-quality deliverables and efficient project execution. Whether or not management is your long-term goal, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to grow both personally and professionally within a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in all survey-related tasks under the guidance of leadership
- Support proposal development by estimating survey scope and effort
- Gather property data, historical land use records, plats, and other relevant documents
- Conduct site visits and collect field data to support design and construction
Qualifications
- Illinois Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in surveying
- Strong knowledge of topographic, construction, boundary, control, ALTA/ACSM surveys, and Right-of-Way plats
- Experience with Trimble GPS and Total Station Systems (or access to personal equipment available for use/rent)
