About the Opportunity

A leading infrastructure consulting and construction management firm is seeking a Civil Inspector (Aviation) to support airport infrastructure and civil improvement projects in the Orlando area. This position plays a key role in ensuring construction activities are completed in accordance with project plans, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and contract documents while minimising impacts to active airport operations.

Education Requirements

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Certifications Required

  • FDOT CTQP Certifications relevant to assigned inspection duties
  • Valid Driver's License

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of civil construction inspection experience on active airport projects
  • Experience inspecting utilities, drainage, paving, roadway, and site development improvements
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply construction plans, specifications, shop drawings, and contract documents
  • Strong understanding of construction inspection processes, documentation, and quality assurance requirements
  • Ability to work effectively within active airport environments while maintaining operational safety requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections of aviation-related civil construction projects
  • Monitor contractor activities to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, permits, and contract requirements
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting construction progress and contractor compliance
  • Verify installed quantities and completed work for accuracy
  • Coordinate with project management teams, contractors, airport personnel, and project stakeholders
  • Monitor jobsite safety practices and identify potential concerns
  • Observe and document quality control and quality assurance activities
  • Review material deliveries and construction operations for compliance with project requirements
  • Maintain accurate project records, photographs, and supporting documentation
  • Report deficiencies, non-conforming work, and project concerns to project leadership
  • Assist with final inspections, punch list reviews, and project closeout activities
  • Support additional project-related duties as required

Compensation

$40.00 - $60.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Additional Incentives
