Regional Director of Sales (Live Events) - Texas
Position Overview
We're looking for a strategic and driven Regional Director of Sales to lead our business development efforts across Texas. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales leader with deep experience in live event production, event management, and ideally, a background in hospitality or destination services.
You'll be responsible for driving revenue growth, building long-term client relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver exceptional event solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue goals
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across corporate, agency, and brand sectors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, venues, and partners
- Collaborate with production, creative, and operations teams to develop tailored proposals
- Lead contract negotiations and close high-value deals
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
- Provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and market insights to leadership
- Mentor and support junior sales team members as needed
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in sales or business development within live events, event production, or experiential marketing
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment
- Strong understanding of event logistics, production timelines, and client expectations
- Background in hospitality, venue sales, or destination management is a strong plus
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
- Willingness to travel throughout Texas for client meetings and events
