Senior Mechanical Engineer - Data Centers
Location: Remote/Hybrid (Multiple U.S. Locations)
A nationally recognized engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of mission-critical data center projects across North America. This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team working on cutting-edge data center and high-performance computing facilities for some of the world's most recognizable clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical engineering efforts for large-scale data center projects.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and technical quality.
- Design and oversee HVAC, chilled water, liquid cooling, plumbing, and other critical mechanical systems.
- Coordinate with internal engineering disciplines, clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Conduct technical reviews, field visits, and construction support activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to project planning and proposal development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 12+ years of mechanical design experience.
- Proven experience designing data centers or other mission-critical facilities.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, air handling equipment, and building mechanical infrastructure.
- Proficiency with Revit and industry-standard design tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
