Civil Project Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of a variety of infrastructure projects in Northern Colorado. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse assignments including water and wastewater systems, stormwater management, transportation improvements, and site development.
You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop practical, high-quality solutions for public and private sector clients while contributing to meaningful improvements in the communities you serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and manage engineering projects in coordination with project managers, clients, and internal teams
- Perform and review engineering calculations, analyses, and design work for civil infrastructure systems
- Develop construction drawings, figures, and plan sets to support project delivery
- Prepare technical reports, memoranda, and supporting documentation
- Assist with development of project specifications, permit applications, and regulatory submittals
- Prepare and review construction cost estimates
- Provide support during construction, including submittal review and coordination with field teams
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment
- Support proposal efforts and assist in identifying new project opportunities
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- 7+ years of relevant experience in civil engineering design
- Experience with infrastructure projects such as water/wastewater systems, stormwater, roadways, or site development
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe
- Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites or client locations

Compensation
Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 annually
Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and overall alignment with the role. This range represents a general guideline and may be adjusted based on business needs.
